Hello! This is the summary website for the campaign Mage Wars that I, Cindurion, held for some of my friends.
Here you can read up on what happened in this Mage War, set in a modern setting as each player plots and schemes their way to victory in this PvP campaign.
The campaign is laid out in a way that allows each player to report what their character is doing for the day during a whole real life week. So each player can take the time they need to formulate their plans and enact them accordingly, with the ultimate goal of being the last person standing at the end of the war.
If you want more info about the rules and setting, you can click the “Info” button. If you wish to read what happened on a week-by-week basis rather than from one character’s perspective at a time, you can click the “Gameplay Overview” button.
Let’s begin by introducing the characters! The stats of the character are entirely my subjective summary of the character based off of their stats, traits and capabilities. Note that a character with high stats often has to contend with a rather big flaw in some capacity.
Blake, the Necromancer!

Blake has lived on the streets since a young age, when food, company and warmth was scarce she made friends with the dead instead. Everything from dead cats to seagulls are now her family and she will steal, spy and destroy her opponents to make sure her family can have a good “life”. Suri Kerrington, the Hivemind!

Suri controls a hivemind of rats, pigeons, insects and other vermin to do her bidding. She is physically frail, blind, lame and poor, but what she lacks physically she more than makes up for with her swarms she can send across the map. She has a Servant that is an amalgamation of various creatures beneath a hood. Read what happened to Suri in the campaign by clicking here

Blaine Greatheart, the Herald!

Blaine is a man of “God”, one evening while praying he was struck by visions, visions he believed came from God but it was in fact from an otherworldly being simply known as Zhograith the Divine. This meeting broke Blaine’s mind and madness fell upon him but not before Zhograith made him a thrall and granted him the power to do it’s bidding, even sending one of it’s spawn to “protect” the man, Blaine simply believes it’s an angel from God there to help him spread the great one’s blessing with the rest of the population.
No Matter What.

Walter Keane, the Assassin!

Walter Keane, around 45, didn’t ask for any of this. He had a knack for conjuring magic, self taught to near perfection. Former mercenary, no affiliation to the ones in town. Lost his wife and child due to tragic circumstances in this line of work so he cut all ties, left close to no connections (a la Keyser Söze), quit, moved far away and started a new life under a new name, moved away to Maineral. Now forced to do the whole song and dance again, will have no mercy and do whatever it takes to win, or at least live. Read what happened to Walter in the campaign by clicking here

Davey Bones, the Pirate King!

Davey Jones, Blackbeard, Pirate King, the Scourge of the Seven Seas, Enemy of the Church, Master of evil, devourer of souls, the Sworn Foe of Atlantis, he has been called all these things and more. But these days in mage’s society, he is most prominently known as Pirate King, Davey “Lichbeard” Bones, Captain of The Immortal Tyrant and the last true pirate of old. Zamesi, the Broker!

Known widely throughout the various underbellies of society, Zamesi is usually only known simply as “The Broker”, a mysterious deal-maker rumored to offer anything from immortality to immense power in order to get what he wants. Behind the facade of a Broker, however, Zamesi is an ancient voodoo priest with an iron grip over many souls in the afterlife. While Zamesi is indeed prone to making deals, he tends to seldom honor them unless made with a Loa, as he knows the dangers of angering these demi-gods by cheating them. Of the very few individuals to have ever known Zamesis true identity, most have ended up as ingredients in his viscous concoctions or mindless zombies carrying out their master’s will.
