Right! There will likely be a creation magic roll involved to see if you are able to fix up the anti-div field in a single phase. The way I imagine it working is that it requires an additional 14+ check on their part to penetrate the barrier. If you want a true full-protection barrier it will likely require more turns to set that up. But a barrier like that to begin with would require a 9+ Creation magic roll from you and you could upgrade it later if you wanted. (Make the roll a GM roll and tell me the result here if you decide to go through with it!)

After you've made the basic one, you'd have to spend 1-2 more actions depending on a second roll

So the action failed, but you will basically do it without the need for a roll the next time you attempt it.

I blame this on Keane not having done magic for quite some time. That is a relief at least.

Unfortunately there were some hiccups with setting up the initial anti-scrying measures. Fortunately you still have your amulet, so you are personally unaffected by such spells, but setting up such defenses on your base took longer than you expected. You should be able to have it up by midnight if you keep going, but you know from experience that this would be the time to strike. Perhaps you should do something else during this phase..? Or perhaps finishing the anti-scrying measures is just what the doctor ordered given the extreme circumstances you find yourself in. What do you do for your night-time phase?
