Daytime Phase day 12. You return to your temporary abode, hurt but having dealt with a large chunk of your opposition. Now only one remains before you can be granted that one, elusive Wish. Will you be able to claim it? What do you do for your daytime phase?

(is it possible to drink a full heal potion during a fight?)

(If you drink a potion during a fight it would have a dramatically reduced effect, I would say.)

As he communicates through the mage link, Walter is rummaging through one of his last hideaways. One healing elixir, two custom grenades and a single max damage round (total 4 CCPs) He chuckles slightly to himself as he gears up. This fresh hell came from nowhere, and it feels like it just started, and yet like it had always been a part of his life, and it ending now felt somewhat surreal. It was not an unpleasant feeling, but saying that he wasn't afraid of ending up on the wrong side of the living. Walter draws one final deep sigh, lights a cigarette, and heads off to the last battle he would ever take part of.

As Walter makes his way to the sub-district he can hear the all too familar sound of gunshots. His first instinct is to get to cover, and as he approaches the sub-district he can smell something charred and smoky. The sub-district is a war zone, with the dead littering the streets, and military personell roaming the place looking for their next kill. Pillars of smoke rise in the distance as explosions and screams can be heard. Walter realizes quickly that the burnt smell comes from charred corpses in the sub-district. As Walter surveys the area, he doesn't pick up any magical signals... Yet. Additionally, he hears the all too familiar whisperings of Madness deep within his mind. What does Walter do? (edited)

Suddenly, you pick up two signals in the area. One Mage/Servant and one minor signal. However, try as you might, you don't see them yet.

Suddenly, you hear a voice on the streets behind you, a man wearing a mask is uttering an incantation and bones make their way out of the roof you're standing on and grasps at you. (Attack roll is a 19. How do you defend?)

(19, you successfully evade the attack.) The man runs across the street to your side and enters an alley. (Currently at Near range) While this is happening, a stitched-together abomination rushes down the street, into the building you're currently on. It breaks through the roof and ends up right in front of you.

(If you wish, you can make any future rolls openly yourself. But you can of course always ask me to make them if you are unable or unwilling to do so, it is merely an extra option if you like making your own rolls.)

(It does not. He does have full cover against you though so that's a -2 Mod for the shot and a +2 Mod to any defensive rolls he makes unless you move into a position with a clear view of him)
(Which would be trivial to do. You could either jump a rooftop or run down the stairs into the alley he's in.)

The abomination takes out a cane and pulls out a sword from it. It has a pitch-black color and an ominous humming sound comes from it as it is unsheathed. He strikes at you. (Attack roll is an 8. Evasion roll is a 19, so you successfully dodge the attack and can make it past the creature.) (edited)

The man pulls out a small object, but does so hastily and starts dropping it. He tries desperately to grab it, but fails to do so. He then reaches for his chest, but nothing happens. Instead the object ejects a liquid into the entire alleyway and he seems unable to move from his current position. The abomination rushes down the stairs and you can see its neck beginning to glow, before spitting a fireball at you. (Attack roll is an 8. How do you defend?)

Before you can act, a stray bullet comes careening your way from a member of the military down the road. (You are not under attack by a creature, this is a hazard. You have to defend against an attack roll of 15. You don't have to worry about the man continuously shooting you, but there may be more situations like this as the battle rages on.)

The man tries to get free of the sticky liquid, but seems unable to, so he calls over his abomination to help out, but it fails to do so. You hear movement from behind you and are once again shot at from much further down the alley. (The hazard got an 8.) (After defending it is your turn)

The abomination frees the man who proceeds to take out another device. This time making sure not to drop it, and tosses it at you. (Attack roll is a 14)
The device hits you in the head and caused you to fall over before it ejects the liquid onto you. (You are now prone, requiring one movement to stand. Additionally, you are stuck, requiring a strength check to be able to move, costing your action and have a -2 mod to any defensive rolls. You took 20 damage from the attack.) After this, the man moves further back away from you into the alley. (Now at Close range, with the creature at Near.) (It is your turn.)
"Eat this!" You can hear the man yell at you.

The man rounds the corner of a building and you can hear some chanting. After a moment, 4 zombies round the same corner and start running towards you. (They are currently at Near range) The abomination approaches you and attacks you with its sword which is now just a metal sword. (Attack roll is a 9, you have a -2 Mod to defend)

The explosion is massive, and while you can't see what happens, you feel the Mage tether break and the wish is awarded to you. (While you are probably in a very sticky situation right now, you have already won the game at this point. We could continue the combat at this point if you wanna see if Walter lives or not)
