Soon Rue Heights will be fully cleansed… You give aid to the suffering people of the hospital and spread the influence of your God there. During the night, another word comes to you from your God. Loss. You know what must be done. What do you do for your day-time phase?

"With God's influence spreading rapidly, i will need to be able to keep track of it all, for that purpose i shall construct a device capable of helping me do just that. Meanwhile, i will ask the angel to travel to the hospital, where it can comfort those that have lost their spirit, saving them from further darkness, it may not have listened to me much but it's connection to God is closer then mine and it must be God's will it's following." I shall construct a base upgrade to be abel to monitor the overall corruption, the servant shall travel to Eagle Gardens, Hospital and corrupt the area.

Working on the Altar, you are occasionally interrupted by some of the priests or random civilians, but are able to convince them to leave. (With corruption 5 in this zone there is complete chaos in the sub-district now. Expect news stories about it.) Having finished your altar, you are able to tell how your progress is going in the city. (The following values are current as of the end of the day-phase:) Bank: 2 Hospital: 2 Rue Heights Mage Towers: 2 Church: 5 As your Servant returns, you notice that it has blood on its hands, it seems to have been in a fight, but it looks unharmed… What do you and your servant do for your night-time phase?

would it be possible for me to create a totem of decay or some sorta curse on an area for a limited time or similar? something that would damage everything in an area over time via decay is what i’m after ^^’

I don't see why not. You're mostly thinking structures and wild-life, not characters?

more or less, i would guess NPCs are not counted as characters?

People would probably flee the area rather than die from it, and any named characters would be unaffected by it I'm thinking?

Unless you wanted it to specifically target characters?

hmm, was hoping to hit npc’s like the mercs with it and that the initial hit would make it hard for them to flee in time from it

Ah, rules-wise an NPC is identical to a regular character, so anything you'd want to do to target an NPC works the same as targeting a real character

Mostly since you can't know which characters are NPCs and which are player characters ^^

Gotcha. So if you wanna target characters, I would say that a totem of weakness or something would be more appropriate. Can't kill players outside of night phases generally speaking, but you could make a totem that reduces max health in an area.

hmm, could it perhaps only deal damage at night? that way it would deal enviromental damage at day and char damage at night

I mean, it's less about not being able to hurt them and more about a player/servant needs a direct action to finish a character off. Something like that could severely weaken a character but you'd need to go and actually finish the job yourself at some point.

But if you want both types you can have that be part of it? Characters suffer 10 max HP loss up to a max of 50 for every turn spent there, other creatures and buildings crumble away slowly

Cool. That is a bit more of an advanced totem though, and would probably require a 14+ decay roll or require 2 actions.

"How can this be, God's blessings upon the docks have been removed!? Is this because of Davey holding his meeting there? is he an agent of hell here to cleanse all of God's blessings from us? He must be. This is greatly alarming, but now more then ever the docks need to be cleansed of these sinners before they unravel all the work I've done! I also need to strengthen the defense around the church, i did not think i would need to do this so early, this might attract more sinners but it should help defend our holy grounds from these blasphemers! I shall task the angel with this while i go to the docks and start the ritual in cleansing these sinners from our town!" The servant shall remain in the church and open a portal while i shall go to the docks and attempt to place a decay totem. (edited)

(Remember that your servant cannot exist in a location without corruption. Sending it there would count as a failed action) (edited)

(jupp, to be honest i would have done something very diffrently then this right now, the decay totem was a thing i started thinking about after i saw that my lovely blessings hade been removed >.<)

(Most likely yes, since a fight can only properly happen during the night. That being said, during the day you can harm each other and put each other in critical state)
