In addition, I would like to mention a couple of rules changes and clarifications to help the mechanics of this Mage War!
First of all, if a character hasn't decided on their action yet, they will be treated as being in the sub-district they ended the last phase in, usually their Base, but not always. This means that another Mage entering that district doesn't need to wait for that Mage to make up their mind before they receive any information they can glean from that situation. So basically, your Mage will always exist in one location or another, not in the weird limbo that has been in the past where everyone's actions occur at the same time.
Next, I've been somewhat successful with doing entirely written fights. I'll be trying to keep that up, though I expect there to be some limits on what a fight can be in written form so if there's a particularly large or complex fight I might do it over voice as was originally planned.
In addition, due to the written fights and the absolute chaos of the city, I have decided that there is no need for a distinction between the day-phase and night-phase. This means that anyone will be able to attack anyone on any day of the week! As an addition to this, any fights started within 24 hours of a deadline are optional, and any sides unable or unwilling to participate may ignore the Mage-tether rules.
Lastly, the nightly event will now be taking place on fridays at 21:00. This means that if you wish to participate, you must go to the correct location before that time. Late entries will not be eligible to join, but you may still go there and perform an action if you wish.
