Daytime Phase day 7. With your new wand, you go to bed feeling just a bit safer. (Would you like to spend any of the new CCPs or skill crystals? Once spent you cannot use them for something like trading with other players. In addition, decide what your wand will be capable of doing. If you are unsure you can always have it be capable of necromancy, at which point you could at least use Necromancy without spending AP for spells. You can change this using an action in future phases.) You wake up the next morning with a wicked headache from the fever, and your pets look just as badly off as you. (You all have a -2 Mod due to the fever) In addition, you feel quite weak for some reason, though you are unsure why. (Your max HP has been reduced by 10) What do you do for your daytime phase?

(Yepp, sorry for the late answer I started drawing wand ideas but got slightly distracted, it was a bit harder to draw in secret while at my family's house than at home but expect some doodles within a few days, haha. For now the idea is illusion magic, inspired by the guild wars mesmers. ^^ For the crystals, I think the best move might be to keep them for emergencies or trading for now.) For the day phase, Blake decides it's time for a family vacation to go dismantle the strange totem she found yesterday since it can't be a good thing to have around.

You and your family head to the docks to deal with the totem you found. However, as you start moving into the sub-district, you once again get this uneasy feeling, as if something is eroding away at you. Your pets seem unwilling to move into the district because of the same feeling. You get the impression that you could probably make them follow if you really wanted to, but they really don’t want to move into the sub-district. Do you make them follow?

Blake is going to let most of her pets go back home, she just can't force them since they are too cute. But she makes Bilbo come with, just in case some other mage decides to show up.

In addition, you notice Davey in the Docks, walking around looking for something. He is followed by a young woman and he seems to be carrying some sort of magical item made out of bones. You notice him because a metal Crane suddenly creaks and collapses on top of him. He looks pretty seriously injured from that, and the woman looks shocked. They don't seem to have spotted you yet. Do you interact with them in any way? (edited)

(Humm, a re-roll might be very good. I think that it's worth using one of the re-roll beads. Also random question is the woman next to Davey alive or undead?I think I'm going to try and interact with them both either way though^^)

Blake sends Bilbo to cosy up next to the woman and keep her in check, while she goes to the pirate "Hey, the one and only Davey Bones, believe it or not the crane falling on you was not my fault, you should watch where you're going. I heard you scared my poor Bilbo the other day though, care to explain what you were up to before I help y'all out?"

Davey looks at the woman, and gives her a small gesture to stand down for the time being. Then, he looks to Blake, and says, “Mr. Blake I presume. Or do ye prefer Ms. Blake?” Chuckling a little, despite his position, he says, “Funny ye would mention that. I had no real plan whatsoever visiting ye residence. Truth be told, I didn’t realize it belonged to ye before I saw Mr. Bilbo. Seeing as we be on amicable terms, I decided to pull back and leave ye to ye own devices.” (edited)

Blake keeps speaking as she grabs Davey's upper body and tries to carefully drag him out from under the crane. (Infection attempt?) "Ms. or just Blake is fine, what plans do y'all have in the docks today? I've noticed a strange totem here that Bilbo and I were heading to, what is that bony thing you were holding?"

Davey accepts the help, and tries to carefully pry himself loose, as he says, “It be an item that will help me restore me crew, with enough time.”

After a brief pause spent trying to move the wreckage, he adds, “As for what me and Ms. Neumayer were doing here, we be looking to set up a fighting ground for a pair of thorns in me side. They have been after me for a while now, and I need them gone before I can progress the war.”

Blake gives a short whistle to Bilbo making him come over to help drag Davey out. "Yeah, I heard y'all had a fight and got a bounty on your head. Are the thorns in your side people wanting the reward? I feel like I should tell you then, that I think these totems and sigils we been finding around town have the effect of slowly eating away at various aspects of your personhood, causing problems like the church riots. If y'all want a good fighting ground you should probably help me take it down." (edited)

Shrugging off the wreckage, Davey stretches his back, producing several satisfying pops. As he does so, he says, “More like agents of the magus organization coming after me. And aye, I believe I saw something like you described downtown by the banking district. Tell ye what, I be willing to help ye, but be warned that I am not in top shape, so if things go awry I will avoid taking the brunt of any danger we find ourselves in.”

Blake starts slowly showing the way to the totem "That's ok, maybe I'll go faster if there are several people working on taking it down. I have two guesses where these totems are coming from but the more likely one is that mage who has their base in the catacombs bellow the church. If the magus organization is upset at you I'd think they would be upset at that one too, maybe they just can't get close enough to the church because of the creatures. Have y'all run into the alien creatures yet?"

Blake chuckles "Probably not the creatures themselves but the mage that summoned them looks pretty well off with the riches of the church and all that." Blake keeps talking as the group arrives at the totem (Assuming she didn't forget the way, haha) " The alien creatures are quite troublesome though and they ate one of my family members. After y'all shake those thorns how long do you think it would take y'all to recover enough to join in actively in the mage wars again?"

Davey hums thoughtfully for a moment, considering his answer carefully. “Hard to say for certain. It would likely take me maybe two days to return to full strength if nothing untoward happens, but that merely be an estimate.” Looking down at the totem with bored curiosity, he asks, “So, how do we handle this thing? Do we just break it, or do there be some special trick to this?” (You would know from your last look that it's something you can just destroy with some time. It's possible that it could have been trapped but you've already started the process by the time you were interrupted by Davey so should be fine for the two of you to keep working on it!)

Blake starts tearing down the totem, showing Davey how you just need to destroy it. "I see, maybe I'll drag you along to see those aliens then, asumming y'all want in on the loot and both of us are still alive by then."

Davey starts to help tearing it down, and says, “I think I’d like that. I don’t suppose I could tempt ye to help me with me own problem as well? There be two of them pursuing me right now, and with ye around I suspect they’d be easier to manage.”

Blake kicks some of the destroyed totems pieces away from each other thinking it should be dismantled enough by now "Let's say tomorrow night for now, you can write your number on a note for me if you like, I should be able to work something out. It's getting late so me and Bilbo are going back to our family after this"

“This sounds agreeable.” Taking out a phone that looks surprisingly modern for someone like Davey, he gives Blake his number. “Alright, this should be it. I be seeing you tomorrow night, but until then, I wish ye the best of luck. Let’s hope we both still be alive until then.” Letting out a chuckle that echo in a ghost-like manner, he adds, "Well, as alive as we are right now, at any rate.”

Nighttime Phase day 7. After dismantling the totem and returning home, you notice how Bilbo collapses and isn’t standing up. You’re uncertain what has happened but he seems to have died due to fatigue. In addition, you have now lost 20 Max HP. You also feel affected by the fever. The rest of your family, however, feel just fine. (You have a -2 Mod) What do you do for your nighttime phase?

(Thanks for the reminder and sorry for the late answer.) For the night phase Blake decides to slip into her dead eyes spies trance while hugging Bilbos corpse taking control of two seagulls, Legolas and Aragon. She uses legolas to scout the housing sub district of Hudson Green and Aragon to scout her own warehouse area to check for more of these ominous totems.

Aragorn doesn't detect any Mages in the area, nor any other disturbances. Legolas also doesn't detect anything in the area. Seems empty... For now...
