Daytime Phase day 7. Your Servant returns, having received the reward and a substantial amount of information from the Count. In addition, through your guidance, your swarms were able to recruit another swarm. (Feel free to note which type of swarm. Also, due to the chaos surrounding you, I will need you to describe which sub-districts you send your swarms to grow in for the future, with the understanding that if you send your swarms to a sub-district that has Madness within it, and you are not directly controlling the swarm, you will lose that swarm.) The next day, you notice that one of your swarms of rats seem to be acting strangely. They don’t seem to be as quick to move and seem to be a bit woozy (One of your rat swarms have a -1 Mod to all tasks they perform) What do you, your servant and your swarms do for your daytime phase?

...I should probably have a look at what's causing these problems with the rat swarm... Do I have any way of doing so? I assume that would be an action? If yes, could I potentially cure it in the same action, assuming I have the means to do so?

(That is entirely up to you to figure out how to go about that I'm afraid! Normally I would say going to the hospital or asking someone knowledgable to take a look would be a good way, alternatively going to a library or something to do research could maybe work, but basically if you wanna figure something out you'll have to tell me what you're doing. Feel free to bounce ideas though!)

I'm gonna ignore it for now. Keep the sick(?) rats separated from everyone else and start working on some combat enhancements.

I would like some kind of source of acid damage to my swarms, I think.

I would also like to make them fire-proof, but that will be the next thing.

(Fair enough, I could see you giving them an acid attack, but they would still be using their bad accuracy stat for it so it's not a great offensive option, as the swarms themselves are more of a nuisance unit. I'm thinking you can give it to your swarms on a 9+ roll, and if you roll 14+, 19+ or 20 you get to add it to an additional swarm.)

(As for fire-proofing, how exactly are you planning on accomplishing that? Acid and such fits the theme, but not sure about fire-proofing :P)

Well, to be able to give it your acid upgrade you would need to keep it with you. Also, you kinda missed the deadline. You could go there but it would be hard to find the chest without the lightbeam, and that assumes it hasn't been taken already

(Also, nvm, that's what I get for a hasty response myself, the acid stuff you got last phase :P You still have all your actions. You still missed the deadline though, so that part was still correct. Not sure what you mean by increasing the defense of your swarms/servant though? Usually can't directly manipulate a character's stats without IPs or CCPs unless that is your "schtick".)

(Also, you may wanna set an alarm for X hours before Wednesday, Friday and sunday at 21:00, where X is a good time in-between work hours as a reminder since you mentioned forgetting the discord messages)

(Don't need an essay or anything, just a quick little "I'm planning on using Verminmancy to do something like X from the game/book/series Y" or whichever school of magic you're using. The reason I'm asking is since you aren't really an alchemist or something I'm curious as to how you're planning on achieving it, it's not meant to shut down your idea, rather help establish what you can do further.)

I would like to use Verminmancy to restructure the makeup of these creatures to increase the strength of their skin/fur/feathers/carapace so that they can take some extra punishment.

(That is if it's possible to do so to any meaningful degree. Otherwise I might just revisit those explosive rats. I have a swarm that's underperforming!)

(Right, sure, that should be doable. By the sounds of it that would increase their armor, allowing them to have a good chance to reduce damage by half. Could probably give them up to medium armor in one go for a 9+ roll, and can increase it further or give the same upgrade to another swarm for each DC beyond that. Is that something you'd like to do?)
