Character Summary: Zamesi

Known widely throughout the various underbellies of society, Zamesi is usually only known simply as “The Broker”, a mysterious deal-maker rumored to offer anything from immortality to immense power in order to get what he wants. Behind the facade of a Broker, however, Zamesi is an ancient voodoo priest with an iron grip over many souls in the afterlife. While Zamesi is indeed prone to making deals, he tends to seldom honor them unless made with a Loa, as he knows the dangers of angering these demi-gods by cheating them. Of the very few individuals to have ever known Zamesis true identity, most have ended up as ingredients in his viscous concoctions or mindless zombies carrying out their master’s will.

Character Info

Zamesi disguises himself as an NPC using a custom variation of the “Famous” keyword. This allows him to blend in as a “traditional merchant” when in fact he barely has the capacity to even feed himself.

He uses this to obtain a character’s likeness and their blood, or other essence to form a “Blood contract”, however, this contract is utterly useless, merely a piece of paper with some pointless clauses. The true purpose is to be able to inflict a curse upon the character he makes a contract with. This curse will cause the other player to die within 3 days unless Zamesi is killed or Zamesi’s blood is spilt into a fire, nullifying the curse.

In addition to this, he has access to voodoo magic, a wide school of mysticism capable of many tricks and effects. He also possesses a powerful magical item in the form of Tarot cards that can affect a person’s fate. In order for him to use the cards he must know their likeness and name, but once he does, he can stack the deck and cause positive effects to occur when targeting himself, or negative effects when targeting others.

Zamesi’s playstyle is that of a mysterious trickster hiding in the background while the others are dumbfounded at what happens. At the start he will have trouble actually dealing with players since he requires a lot of information to get going, but once someone has revealed their identity to Zamesi, their fate is all but sealed.
